For many years now I have studied Israel as sort of a personal hobby or
interest. I believe this to be a direct result of my faith, my studies
of the Holocaust and because, Israel has filled the pages of human
history for 3500 years. There is much to discover.
Certainly
Iraq (Mesopotamia) and Egypt are worthy of mention but, Israel has been
threatened time and time again with complete and total destruction. To
date, this never ending desire to destroy these people persists and yet
this nation survives? They are for me….a modern day Miracle reminding
me of just how amazing my God is!
Most of my interest nowadays,
is to share on this subject from a biblical perspective with a Hebrew
mindset. I know now that many in the church, especially Christianity
have committed mind numbing atrocities against the Jew for nearly two
thousand years. This fact, one cannot help but to discover and acknowledge
when perusing through the pages of history.
From a biblical
perspective (In the Simplest of Terms) the Jews have a history of not
obeying the instruction of God. The first Temple for example, built by
King Solomon or King Shlomo was destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar of
Babylon approximately 600 BC. The army came through the northern border
of Israel and destroyed the temple taking the Jews into captivity or to Babylon. So we can say that God destroyed
his house and kicked the Jews out of the country for disobedience (?)
A
second temple was built (God’s house) many years later after the Jews
returned from exile. This particular time the nation returned from
Persia or modern day Iran. (God seems to have endless grace and mercy
for Israel all through the bible. He calls the Jew, “The apple of his
eye” at least three times in scriptures.) Nevertheless, all of us
understand the consequences of doing the wrong thing.
Anyway,
this temple was completed around 350 BC. King Herod made many
renovations during his reign. He was a harsh ruler (understatement)
while at the same time under roman dictates before the birth and after
the birth of Yeshua Hamachiach (Jesus).
Well, recognizing how
God is pretty clear on the subject of obedience (You only have to
think…ADAM & EVE, the situation between his chosen and his commands
went awry once again; “bam” house destroyed, Jews kicked out of the
country!
According to news reports (http://
news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081119/sc_nm/us_israel_archaeology),
an Israeli archeologist just found Herod’s family tomb…Imagine that! Here so
many of you are thinking this land is the Palestinians…..”Silly
rabbits, tricks are for the deceived!”
A bit before this temple
is destroyed the King of the Jews shows up, Jesus or Yeshua Hamachiach.
He represents salvation to the whole world. The political and religious
leaders (all Jews) have him arrested in the middle of the night (in
secrecy). They put him through a sort of hell….for no reason at all.
They eventually are responsible for his crucifixion. (They did not kill him. He sort of gave up his life of his own accord.)
Not all the Jews
were in on this plot, most of them were following him from place to
place as he was teaching or instructing them about himself and his
father. He had a pretty significant following. We are all the beneficiaries of those followers. They were almost exclusively Jews at this time. Certainly this was true of everyone of the disciples. (Luke may have been a convert?) Oh yeah..and for the sake of clarity, their was no such thing as English and those Greeks, well they had sort of translated all of this about 225 or so years earlier.
I point this out because...it might be wise to find out what the Jewish writer was thinking when writing all of this stuff down. Hence, the Hebrew mindset. In fact we probably should take a look at the Jewish customs too. Christianity tends to minimize this aspect of Jewish life
I am pretty
sure that I would be following around a dude who was raising people
from the dead, turning water into wine and feeding thousands of folks
with just a bit of bread and a few fish?
Well, as a result of
Jesus, the Gentiles are now able to partake in the relationship that
God had with the Jews. Something awful happened instead. The Gentiles
come up with Christianity and tell the Jews, “Your old ways are
irrelevant.” The Jews respond by saying,
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WE LOST OUR TEMPLE AND OUR COUNTRY TWICE BECAUSE WE WOULD NOT STICK TO GOD’S COMMANDS.”
(What they were saying was we failed to obey the commands found in
God’s instruction to Moses or TORAH. The Christians were saying, "Well
they don't matter anymore...be born again or die!"
Well, the new
Church, (Remember, the Jews had been having church for centuries)
eventually became HELL bent on separating itself from the Jews, there
customs and all that God command them to do. It got so bad that the
CHURCH took the Jews refusal to follow THEIR instruction as blasphemous
and began to persecute and massacre millions of Jews over the course of
the last 1800 years or so. The Jews were in a no win situation. (They
did the unthinkable, many became secular. Just look at what Olmert has
done to Israel or what the secular Jew spits out of Hollywood.
So
here we are today, millions of Christian go to church every Sunday and
learn about the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit from a book that
the Jews wrote. The Christians say that The Jews “Didn’t get it” while
they read all about it from a book written by the Jews who did…..GET
IT!
Only when the Christians understand those commands that the
Jews kept screwing up will they see an illumination of the very word of
GOD. I mean really, most don’t even do the ten that are getting ripped
out of the fabric of life. (I sure don’t)
It’s really very sad
and damn near hysterical at the same time! The fact that so many have
died makes it almost unbelievable and yet (In the Simplest of Terms)
this is what happened. (And continues to happen)
So, the
Christians are grafted into the people God calls the apple of his eye
as a result of the Messiah, similar to an adoption. They refuse to
follow the commands God gave to Israel and so the adoption becomes
dysfunctional unto death. The Christians think the Messiah made God’s
word irrelevant concerning the Jews or that he fulfilled certain
covenants. This only begs the question, “What part of God’s word is
irrelevant, exactly?”
Odd thing about this is that Jesus taught
the instructions to everyone…. that the Jews weren’t following……He
actually didn’t fulfill the instruction, he perfected it. He used his
life to be the best example of the commands of his father, unto death!
OK,
back to today.. We have the Arabs and the Persians wanting to wipe
Israel off the map once again. The Christian are waiting for a rapture
to occur (after killing millions of God’s chosen throughout the last
1800 years or so) and the world system is collapsing all around us.
Funny
thing about many of the Christian nations…our Governments are buying up
our free enterprise systems. The bailouts amount to buying, with money
we don’t have, dependant on the worker to pay the final bill, with jobs
they are loosing!
When this economic teetering we are witnessing
finally collapses, the Government has no choice but to fall. This
scenario is comical while at the same time, a sign or a signal.
What
is even more ridiculous is (according to Don Finto in his book Your
People Shall Be My People, “there are over 160 ecclesiastical
traditions with 23,300 separate and distinct denominations within the
larger body of Christ!” If I were Jewish, I would be terrified of all
of these so called Christians and there many, many beliefs.
I
mean really, the entire body of Christ is beating the hell out of
itself in order to be RIGHT while dulling the word of God because they
don’t realize why he calls the Jew, His First Born! (Exodus 4:22)
Remember, they did not like the things the Jews were commanded to do so
they made up there own doctrine. This is more commonly referred to as
Replacement Theology. A perfect example of this theology, woven
throughout scripture, after the Messiah are the terms Old Testament and
New Testament; translation, old commands and new commands. What part of
God is Old and what part of God is New? He does talk about a new
covenant in Jeremiah 31:31 but, that has yet to happen. When it does
guess what, it will be with Israel…Surprise!
While the word of
God says, “I am coming to set up my Kingdom in Jerusalem, where the
meek shall inherit the earth. He continues, “I am going to destroy
every king and prince who attacks my chosen people, the apple of my
eye.” (He’s done this a few times recently after all but, on a much
smaller scale; 1967 and 1973 come to mind) and he says, “I am going to
build a new temple in Israel”
I have a question for all of
those, “rapture to heaven Christians, who exactly is going to be in
heaven if HE is going to be here?
“My kingdom come, ON EARTH as it is in Heaven.”
To the Jews…..for 3500 years you guys are supposed to teach Torah to the nations. What happened?
Concerning
the Arabs and the Persians, You guys will kill everything that does not
conform to your god. My question to you is, ‘What is the value of life
according to your god if killing is the only way to know him?’ You
folks keep crashing through the various borders of Israel only to
attempt to do that which is not possible according to history and you
guessed it, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You people are heading
for one hell of a problem.
The rest of the varying faiths around the globe exist only for the expressed purpose of giving Oprah something to discuss!
So,
when all is said and done….God appears to be saying, “You all got it
wrong and I am coming to fix it! Our end game is to kill each other.
HIS goal has always been to offer life and to offer it in abundance. He
died and rose again so as to restore the very reason for doing all of
this in the first place. HE is restoring his family. Those he promised
to Abraham and those who he adopted as a result of HIS son.
You
see, we are the only thing in his creation that disobeys! He is getting
ready to address this problem. In fact, he is showing us many, many
signs and signaling us just like he said he would. He is coming to HIS
threshing floor in order to separate the tares from the wheat and to
harvest the fruit of HIS creation. If you really want to understand all
of this….you, in the simplest of terms, must start with Israel!
Actually a better place to start is knowing God’s appointed times more
commonly referred to as HIS.... FEAST DAYS or the Feasts of the Lord. He is busy keeping his appointments and most of us are not even on his calendar. Oh yeah...its called the HEBREW Calendar.
