Has any one taken notice of the up tick in tornados, cyclones,
earthquakes, volcanoes and war? We are talking about food shortages,
economic problems, human right atrocities and gas prices that seem to
have no end as they continue to climb. Understandably, other countries
have been paying these gas prices for years.
Lebanon is heading
towards collapse, the threat of nuclear war and the race to actually
get one started seeming to be inevitable. China is dealing with unrest
and devastation right before the Olympics all the while the North and
South Korean peninsula is a hair trigger away from chaos. Mayamar or
Burma is allowing (according to every report I have seen) it’s
countrymen to die yes, to die, refusing to allow aid in to save those
who survived a cataclysmic cyclone. Israel says, “We won’t go quietly
to our death while Iran seems to be suggesting, “That’s OK with us,
we’re going to pull the trigger as soon as we are ready!”
This
is our world folks. No matter how you hope, pray or maintain a positive
outlook on the whole of it all, it is daunting to be positive to say
the very least! How do we as a race of people, inhabiting one planet
endure the messes of our daily reality? I don’t know that we can.
It is nearly unbearable when one simply assesses the world with which we all live.
Sudan,
Iraq, Eritrea, Somalia, Serbia, Kosovo, Columbia, Venezuela, Pakistan,
Afghanistan, Chechnya, Zimbabwe, Europe, the United States there are
people on a global scale dying or being killed from natural
catastrophe, murdered from gangs and war, child abuse is skyrocketing.
People of every nation loosing the ability to fund the cost of living!
This is surreal, it truly is grotesque. Are we spinning completely and
totally out of control? Did we ever really control any of this? I think
not, in fact I think we are being made to face our limitations or our
sin.
I’m serious folks, the world we are living in is on the
brink of total chaos. The events of the day get worse by the minute.
It’s a tough thing to be positive. Is people’s faith being shredded or
in fact are we crying out as a result of our faith. Perhaps we should
pay attention to our beliefs because what we are doing to one another
cannot stand.
I was watching God TV (
http://www.god.tv) and watched the following:
People
getting healed of virtually every kind of illness you can think of.
There is a revival and healing ministry that has been on going now for
over 40 days in Lakeland, Florida. Quite amazing really, folks from all
over the world are experiencing miracles. A fellow by the name of Todd
Bentley is doing the sort of Katherine Kuhlman,
Benny Hinn type church service. It really is amazing what is taking
place around the world as a result of this revival in Florida.
I
have watched, THE CALL FOR JERUSALEM or a bunch of Christians and Jews
praying for the division between the two faiths to be erased. This is
of great importance to me, personally. Their was a global day of prayer
broadcast May the 10th and the 11th (I missed this event)
All in
all, it would appear people are gravitating towards their faiths and a
greater hope in the supernatural nature of God. Simply watching this
programming on line was encouraging for me. I have to turn the news off
because it is a daily horror! All of us are getting hardened and thick
skinned because of the confusion and hopelessness that is rampant
across the globe. Perhaps it is time to ask the creator to stop the
madness!
I personally don’t want to hear about another father
who raped and imprisoned his child for nearly 30 years or the death of
an entire family somewhere in this world. I don’t want to hear about
another a missing boy found after years of enduring sexual perversion.
I really cannot stomach the news of families loosing their homes and
lives because of a storm every single day! I pray that I don’t have to
watch another beheading or the uncovering of mass graves. I am writing
about death really. Death seems to beam into our lives everyday, no
matter what you have on the television. At this rate it’s just a matter
of time before a nuclear weapon once again destroys a city of worse, an
entire country. This is the way it is, like it or not this is what we
have accomplished.
The Bible does talk about wars and rumors
of war, pestilence, earthquakes, natural catastrophe, disease and
sickness. Clearly, God’s word stipulated all of the above and says, in
one book or another, it will get much worse. Well that’s just great,
just great, now what are we going to do?
It’s a good question
because what ever we do as the inhabitants of this one planet has to
make a difference. Sadly, that does not seem to happen anymore. I am
going to join the other people who are praying because, we don’t seem
to have a handle on anything. Does anyone else find this to be rather
frightening?
